PostSubject: My Game Worn Collection   Fri Jul 20 2012, 04:27

Ok, here goes - the culmination of a lot of collecting that I have been doing...enjoy! Cool

BUCS GAMERS

John Lynch gamer from circa 2000. I'm on the fence with this one. The size / cut is exactly to his spec. The guy I bought it from assured me his son was given it by Lynch after a Bucs game. There are a few spots of use, but nothing more, and obviously no COA. Either way, it's a great looking jersey and even if it's only team issued, still a nice addition to my Bucs collection:

Signed Brad Culpepper game worn with COA, and light use:

Adam Hayward from 2011 London game, with captain's patch (vs Bears) with NFL Auctions COA - and a ton of use:

Larry Asante from 2011 London game (vs Bears) with NFL Auctions COA - and a ton of use:

Sammie Stroughter 2009 London game (vs Patriots) with JO COA:

Geno Hayes 2009 London game (vs Patriots) with NFL COA, a ton of use, and good photo match (check the "5" on the back):

Jimmy Wilkerson 2009 London game (vs Patriots) with NFL COA, a ton of use:

Gaines Adams game issued:

Warren Sapp Ripon pro cut (not team issued, but Ripon made some of these as samples):

BILLS GAMERS

JP Losman 2006 game worn uni, vs Ravens with full COA. Loads of use, and customizations:

Nate Clements 2006 game worn uni, vs Dolphins with full COA:

Garrison Sanborn 2009 throwback game worn uni, vs Steelers with full COA:

Aaron Williams 2011 game worn vs Dolphins with full COA and loads of use:

Trent Edwards 2009 50th AFL throwback team issued / signed jersey, with NFL COA:

CHARGERS GAMERS

Ryan Mathews signed team issued:

CJ Spillman 2009 game worn uni, AFC divisional playoff vs Jets, with full COA:

Al Fontenot 2000 game worn jersey with NFL COA:

OTHER GAMERS

OJ Atogwe game worn uni with captain's patch and full COA:

Reggie Hodges team issued / worn Titans 2009 AFL 50th anniversary throwback jersey:

Blank white team issued Titans 2009 AFL 50th anniversary throwback:

Kerry Cooks pre-season game worn Falcons 1999:

Chaz Schilens 2009 rookie game worn uni vs Texans (1 TD) with full COA, GU patch and great use all over:

Travis Taylor 2004 game worn jersey with full COA, and XLV anniversary patch:

Wow that's a badass collection.

You have any that are "game issued?" And if so, do you ever wear them?

Beautiful Russell, that Lynch is real nice. You know I'm gonna love the Bills stuff!

Thanks. The following are issued and not worn:

- Bills Trent Edwards
- Chargers Ryan Mathews
- The 2 Titans / Oilers AFL jerseys
- Bucs Gaines Adams
- Bucs Sapp (it's actually pro cut, not even team issued)
- Jaguars Garrard (I just realized I haven't included it here...)

The only ones I can wear are the Sapp and the Garrard. The others are cut way too tight around the waist and big around the shoulders, so look kind of ridiculous without pads.

Thanks Simon. I guess you'll have seen all of my Bills gamers already, with the exception of the Losman, which just arrived this week. I've taken my Bills gamers about as far as I intend to. I'm not looking to amass them - just get a decent coverage of their unis over recent years. I'm not a fan of their gamers pre-2002 so amn't going to go there, apart from a 1995 Champion. I'd also like to get a white 2011, if the price is right.

I always wanted a Lynch (along with Brooks, Ronde, Alstott, Sapp) so was delighted to get that one at a very good price. The hunt goes on for the others though.

I've pretty much reached saturation point with my gamers / retail authentics in general, so the new pick-ups are definitely going to be slowing down. I'm also finding that my focus changes (e.g. I'm kind of bored with the whole 2001 jerseys now, whereas that was all I wanted at one stage.)

That's the great thing about this hobby, it changes and evolves.

Thanks, Sean. They are amazing looking jerseys. I always loved the Oilers colours, so couldn't resist the chance to get a couple of game cut jerseys in those styles. I think the Titans only ever wore the white AFL throwback once in 2009, so I'd imagine these will be pretty rare a few years down the line - even if it was only a pre-season issue.

There are a few other 2009 AFL 50th anniversary jerseys I really like that I'd like to get a hold of (Chargers - both colours, Raiders - white with silver numbers, and the Patriots are my favourite of the other teams) but I'm trying to reign my collection in a bit, so won't be going out of my way to hunt them down.

The only football jersey im on the hunt for at the moment are the Raiders ones you mentioned. I would either take a 2009 AFL 50th anniversary jersey with the silver numbers or settle for the Mitchell & Ness throwback, there is a 1994 Tim Brown with the silver numbers and i believe a Stabler out there as well. But so far i havent been able to find any yet.

Very impressive collection. Even have the powder blue chargers jersey...

Any plans on how you are going to display them?

Thanks!

Yeah - the Mathews is definitely one of my favourites.

I'm hoping to be able to mount them on a section of wall in a finished basement or study (in my new house, which I haven't found / bought yet). Not convinced my wife will rate it, but we'll see how that goes.

It seems a shame to have them hanging up in a closet. I prefer the idea of having them on full display any time I walk into a room. This is the set-up I'm going for (I'd also be happy with those jerseys!!)

Love the Bucs jerseys they are my favorite team, I met Derrick Brooks once and he gave me one of the superbowl books and autographed it.
